Rennick-Todd papers : deeds, legal documents, letters, surveys, 1784-1870, bulk 1804-1850.

This collection consists of ninety items that were produced between 1784 and 1870. Most of the collection consists of legal documents concerning Alexander M. Rennick, and William, Thomas, and Robert Todd. The legal documents included in the collection are: deeds, land warrants, indentures, certificates, surveys, tax non-payment forms, power of attorneys, and various court records concerning cases before the court. There is also a list of deeds recorded in Franklin County, Kentucky, between October 1831 and October 1832. Letters included in the collections discuss wide ranging issues. These include United States foreign affairs, Ulyssis S. Grant and Daniel Webster's nominations for president, the Indian Wars of the late 1790's, requests to publish unfavorable opinions on bills before the House of Representatives, banking matters, and a school district outline for Kentucky. Other items of note, in the collection, include a land warrant signed by Patrick Henry, a certificate stating Rennick was elected a first lieutentant, and Revolutionary War land warrants.
